CHA’s Horses in the Morning Podcast

I was recently honored to be a guest on the Certified Horsemanship Association‘s monthly podcast episode of Horses in the Morning. We had a good long discussion on schooling….you guessed it, half turns! Well, that and circles, figure eights and clover leaf patterns. 2020 NYSHC Horse Person of the Year & DDH Insider Horse

I thought I’d share two exciting things that have happened this past month. First, I was awarded 2020 Horsewoman of the Year by the New York State Horse Council along with Sarah Collier, who in her own right is a force of nature – I’m incredibly honored to share this with her!

Two, I had the incredible opportunity to pick up my Double Dan Horsemanship Insiders horse and work with Dan James (a dream come true!!) I can’t recommend the Insiders program enough – it’s affordable and every year they host an Insiders contest where you have a chance at really amazing horsemanship experiences like this one. Wednesday is home now and SO FUN. ❤️

October IEA show

Myself and Kathleen Evers had a great day volunteering at Iron Valley Equine Center’s autumn Interscholastic Equestrian Association show last month. Falcon and Kima also volunteered, packing around a lot of different kids for the day and being the saints they are – not bad for a bunch of western Appies! Congratulations to IVEC’s teams for their great showing, especially their champion middle school team!
