COVID-19 Update: Face masks will be mandatory starting Wednesday, August 18th.

With the growing number of COVID-19 cases in Essex County, we have made the decision to require face masks once again. This applies to everyone – adults, children, vaccinated, not vaccinated, EVERYONE.

We ask only that masks be worn inside the main barn or when you are unable to maintain a 3 foot distance from other people. For now, they are not required when outside of the buildings or in the stable area.

We are asking that our clients be respectful of this request, and keep their feelings and opinions about the necessity/efficacy of masks at home. I’m just one person and all I really want to do is give people great experiences with horses, not police them over mask wearing. Your cooperation is appreciated!!

Couple of other safety reminders:

  • The sink in the office is available with hand soap for hand washing.
  • Riders and barn volunteers ONLY are allowed in the barn/stables/paddocks. Non-riders (parents, siblings, family members, friends and other spectators) cannot enter these areas without express permission from Chauntel. They may enter the office if wearing a mask, and are welcome to watch from outside the arena during lessons.
  • We ask that non-riders also do not wander around the farm or try to interact with other livestock. They are welcome to visit the farm stand by the main farmhouse.
  • And again – a friendly reminder that EVERYONE on premises needs to be wearing closed toe shoes! Absolutely NO sandals, bare feet or water shoes. Thank you!
